Global Citizen will be doing outreach to organizations supporting healthcare workers and other essential frontline workers. People who are fully vaccinated will be invited to receive 2 tickets to the show at SoFI Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., for themselves and a vaccinated guest.
The guest will submit their name, email address, and phone number. Global Citizen will vet these requests, and then distribute codes to ticket holders to redeem tickets from Ticketmaster, agreeing to verifying their COVID-19 vaccination in order to attend the concert. Global Citizen will provide vaccine validation information via email, and will remind attendees prior to the concert.
To reduce wait times on show day, ticket-holders will be able to pre-verify their vaccination prior to the event. Attendees will be able to verify at the venue on May 2, but Global Citizen strongly recommends verifying beforehand. Global Citizen will send details on the pre-verification process to all ticket holders ahead of the show.
In order to ensure a COVID safe event and compliance with county and state guidance, SoFi Stadium will be at limited capacity. On the day of the concert, attendees can proceed to the closest entrance, unless they have received more specific instructions on which gate to enter through. Guests will go through security and have their tickets scanned. They will be handed a new ticket with a specific seating assignment.
Because this is a pre-recorded network television event, the stadium will be phone-free for attendees. Once the venue scans your mobile ticket, guests will be given a paper ticket with a seat assignment. Your phone will then be secured using a system called Yondr. A Yondr staff member will place the guest’s phone in a Yondr pouch.
Once the phone is inside, the pouch will be locked and given back to the guest. Guests are able to visit “phone zones,” available in the concourse of each level at SOFI Stadium, and unlock their phones at any time. Yondr pouches can be unlocked at multiple demagnetizing stations throughout the venue. Yondr staff will monitor these and be able to provide assistance to guests both during and after the show.
