Every child deserves the opportunity to follow their dreams.
But for kids forced to flee their homes and schools because of conflict or disaster, it’s not that easy.
For children that experience conflict and crises –– losing their home, their friends, or even their family –– the safety, stability, and hope that access to education brings is a lifeline to a better future.
At refugee camps in unknown countries, their one place of safety is often the learning center set up by organizations such as Education Cannot Wait.
“When we learn and play here, I feel peace in my love heart, and forget what has happened to me.” – young refugee girl, Education Cannot Wait learning center.
Education Cannot Wait aims to help 222 million conflict and crisis-affected children go to school. But in order to do this it needs support from world leaders.
Now Global Citizen and our partner Verizon – which prioritizes education, helping to drive more accessibility to learning through its work with organizations like Education Cannot Wait – are helping make this happen.
We want Global Citizens around the world to raise their voices for the millions of children out of school –– leave a message and tell us why you believe every child in conflict and crises deserves to go to school.
We’ll hand over the most powerful messages to world leaders this February.
