Of all the artists, celebrities, and dignitaries we interviewed backstage at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival, Peter Tunney may well have had the most swagger.

Exhibit A: The man showed up to his interview rocking paint-covered pants and a cigar. Talk about effortless chic. (Side note: my new goal in life is to do a vlog sporting that exact look.)

But style alone isn't what makes this renowned visual artist so great. Tunney is a longtime supporter of the Global Citizen Festival, and he regularly contributes original works to the cause. In fact, visitors to Global Citizen's New York City headquarters are immediately greeted by this giant mural:

I get inspired just looking at this thing. Can you spot Martin Luther King, Jr.? Mother Teresa? It's like a world-changing "Where's Waldo" puzzle.

In any case, Tunney has been a part of every Global Citizen Festival to date, and this year was no exception. Watch the video above to find out what the movement to end extreme poverty means to him, and what role he sees art playing in the quest for a better, more equitable world.
