American rapper and singer Doja Cat is ready to “Paint the Town Red” and light up the Global Citizen Festival stage in New York City on Sept. 28, 2024. The Grammy-winning star will be performing at the annual music festival at Central Park alongside Post Malone, LISA, Jelly Roll, Rauw Alejandro, Benson Boone, and RAYE.

Known for her electrifying energy, Doja Cat will be taking the Global Citizen Festival stage to perform her iconic songs, but more importantly to inspire the audience to take action to make the world a better place. This year, she is using her fame and platform to advocate for those living in crisis.

“It’s been a few years since I was last on the Global Citizen Festival stage in Paris, and I’m excited to join forces with Global Citizen once again in Central Park this September to drive as much action as we can to make the world a better place,” said Doja Cat. “We all have a part we can play to help end extreme poverty and stand up for equity. I’m looking forward to being part of this major evening of positive change.”

Every year, the Global Citizen Festival aims to drive urgent action on some of the world’s most pressing policy demands. This year, the festival’s primary policy goals are boiled down into three pillars of action: Defeat Poverty, Defend the Planet, and Demand Equity. Renowned artists, politicians, activists, and organizations will come together on Sept. 28, 2024 to drive action  on these critical issues.

For Doja Cat, the issue closest to her heart is supporting people in crisis, especially children. One in 27 people around the world needs humanitarian assistance, and 20% of children are living in or fleeing a conflict zone. In addition, millions of children are without access to a safe education due to crisis and conflict.

It’s time to join Doja Cat and Global Citizen in turning up the volume on change. You can take action by supporting Global Citizen’s partner Education Cannot Wait, an organization that provides schooling to children in some of the world's most vulnerable regions. CARE, another Global Citizen partner, delivers lifesaving aid and defends the lives of children in crisis hotspots, from Gaza to Yemen to Sudan to Ukraine.
