The fabulous Emma Watson is a competitor of our Global Citizen’s Girls and Women division in our Sweet Sixteen edition of March Madness. Emma rises above to fight for global gender equality with her British accent and badass persistence.
Globally, girls and women are still not entirely seen as equal to their male counterparts, allowing gender inequality to take control of lives and successes. When girls and women grow up believing they have a right to pursue their dreams, when females have quality access to education and resources, and when there is hope for the future, there’s no limit to success.
Committed to promoting equality between genders, Emma knows that this movement for justice is not just a movement for girls and women, but rather for humans.
Girls and women have the power to lift families and communities out of poverty. Not every female has access to this kind of opportunity. Because of this, Emma uses her voice and speaks up for the truth, asks everyone to join the conversation about gender equality.
