Why You Should Tune In:
Right now, many developing countries are trapped in a cycle of high-interest loans, with governments spending more on debt payments than on essential services for their citizens. This burden is driving more people into extreme poverty. To help break this cycle, this year’s Global Citizen Festival is focused on replenishing the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) fund, which offers zero and low-interest loans to 75 of the world’s lowest-income countries. We're urging the richest nations to boost their contributions to the IDA by at least 25%, which would help support economic growth for over 1.5 billion people and bring electricity to 250 million people across Africa by 2030.
How to Get Tickets:
Tickets to the Global Citizen Festival are free and can be earned by taking action through the Global Citizen app or here. Join us in tackling poverty, protecting our planet, and advocating for equity.
Wait… There’s More!
Climate Week Kickoff: Participate in a beach cleanup on Sept. 21 and you could earn your festival tickets. We’re teaming up with the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy for the cleanup, supported by Goodera. Volunteers will help clear trash and marine debris from Jamaica Bay while documenting the most frequently found items, dubbed the "Dirty Dozen." The event is organized with help from the American Littoral Society's Beach Cleanup Program, the Black Surfing Association, and Surfrider NYC. You can sign up to join the effort here.
Official Merchandise: Just because you’ll be tuning in from outside of Central Park, doesn’t mean you can’t represent the movement and show up for your favorite artist in some merch. Get your hands on exclusive festival gear right now! This year's eco-friendly collection features exclusive pieces created in collaboration with artists like Post Malone, Doja Cat, LISA, Jelly Roll, Rauw Alejandro, Aviator Nation, and others.
Join us as we come together for a day of inspiring performances, impactful conversations, and collective action for a better world. For more information, download the Global Citizen app and follow us on social media.
