A pesar de los retos impuestos por la pandemia del COVID-19, los estadounidenses están mostrando que no se abstendrán de su obligación cívica importante de ejercer el voto este año. De hecho, hasta la mañana del jueves, más de 77 millones de estadounidenses habían ya emitido su voto.

Esto refleja un compromiso inspirador con las bases fundamentales de la democracia. Para celebrar el júbilo y la importancia de votar, artistas, músicos, intérpretes y líderes comunitarios se reunirán el jueves 29 de octubre — cinco días antes de las elecciones — para la trasmisión especial Every Vote Counts: A Celebration of Democracy.

El evento apartidista exhortará a los estadounidenses a votar durante los últimos días de la temporada de elecciones de 2020, además de recordarles a los espectadores que una democracia sólida depende de la participación cívica y de elecciones justas.

Producido por Live Nation, Global Citizen y Live Animals, el evento de una hora se trasmitirá el jueves 29 de octubre a las 9 p.m./8 p.m., hora central, en la cadena de televisión CBS y CBS All Access, al igual que en las estaciones de radio y app de iHeartMedia.
